Acetylcholine Defined

A chemical in the brain that improves nerve communication. Most people with Alzheimer's disease show a deficiency in this chemical. It's believed that a handful of FDA-approved drugs can help increase the brain's supply of acetylcholine, which can potentially alleviate some of the symptoms of AD.
