The following information is about Fracture.
Fracture Defined
A break in a bone caused by a sudden force of greater intensity than the bone can withstand. Fractures of the spinal bones in the back (vertebrae) involve compression (becoming shorter) and are often not recognized. They can be diagnosed with an X-ray. Those with front vertebral compression fractures often develop a rounded upper back (kyphosis); both front and back compressions cause height loss.
