Osteoclasts Defined
Cells that remove old bone during bone remodeling (a process called “resorption”). Osteo-clastic bone resorption is fast and occurs over about three weeks in any spot in bone. Any weight loss causes increased bone as does excess stress, excess caffeine (in women with low calcium intakes) and colas (because the body uses calcium to help excrete the phosphoric acid they contain).
